  • 2 pieces of 1-inch PVC pipe, each 3 feet long (legs)
  • 2 pieces of 1-inch PVC pipe, each 18 inches long (arms)
  • 2 pieces of 1-inch PVC pipe, each 12 inches long (torso)
  • 1 piece of 1-inch PVC pipe, 6 inches long (neck)
  • 1 piece of 3/4-inch PVC pipe, 6 inches long (head)

Next, assemble the frame using the PVC fittings. The legs should be attached to the torso with T-joints, and the arms should be attached to the torso with elbows. The neck should be attached to the torso with a T-joint, and the head should be attached to the neck with a T-joint. Finally, attach the end caps to the ends of the arms and legs.

2. Create the body

To create the body, cut a piece of chicken wire to a size that is large enough to cover the frame. Wrap the chicken wire around the frame and secure it with zip ties or wire.

Next, cut a piece of burlap to a size that is large enough to cover the chicken wire. Wrap the burlap around the chicken wire and secure it with zip ties or wire.

3. Paint the body

Once the body is assembled, it's time to paint it. First, spray paint the body black. Once the black paint is dry, spray paint the body gray. Finally, dry brush the body with brown paint to give it a weathered look.

4. Create the head

To create the head, cut a piece of chicken wire to a size that is large enough to cover the PVC pipe. Wrap the chicken wire around the PVC pipe and secure it with zip ties or wire.

Next, cut a piece of burlap to a size that is large enough to cover the chicken wire. Wrap the burlap around the chicken wire and secure it with zip ties or wire.

Finally, paint the head with acrylic paint. Paint the eyes white, the mouth black, and the rest of the head gray.

5. Install the LED lights

To install the LED lights, drill two small holes in the head. Insert the LED lights into the holes and secure them with hot glue.

Next, connect the LED lights to a 9-volt battery using the 9-volt battery connector. Finally, attach the switch to the battery connector.

6. Finish the zombie crawler

To finish the zombie crawler, stuff the body with polyester fiberfill or old clothes. Once the body is stuffed, sew up the opening with a needle and thread.

Finally, attach the head to the body using screws. Your zombie crawler is now complete!

Tips

  • To make your zombie crawler even more realistic, you can add fake blood or gore.
  • You can also add additional decorations to your zombie crawler, such as a hat, scarf, or weapon.
  • If you are using old clothes to stuff your zombie crawler, be sure to wash the clothes first.
  • Be careful when using sharp tools, such as scissors and drills.
  • Have fun!

Building your own zombie crawler animatronic is a fun and rewarding project. With a little time and effort, you can create a unique and spooky Halloween decoration that will be sure to impress your friends and family.
